VIC has successfully conducted Tod-Fod-Jod, A hands on experiential learning program at 12 schools of Vadodara city for the academic year 2018-19, encompassing 600+ students who explored the Making (principles, design, engineering, building blocks) with an objective to enable the curious mindset of an child to understand, the question like HOW?, WHY?, WHAT NEW?, etc. of 10 different household modern gadgets.

TFJ fest 2019 is an annual Event, an endeavour in building the success story to Compete, Collaborate and Celebrate the journey so far and to draw a road Map for future. It involves all the stake holders like – key Donors, Partner Schools, Teachers, Students, Facilitators, Volunteers, our team etc. who have made it possible.

Event : 01 - Competition (For the TFJ 2018-19 Students)

Time : 8 AM to 11 AM

Guidelines:

  • A student can participate in any one event from three.
  • Student who has attended Tod Fod Jod sessions regularly at his/her school for the year 2018-19 is eligible.
  • Entry through prior registration from school only.
  • There is no registration or participation fee.
  • Students can participate using any language such as Gujarati, Hindi or English.
  • Attractive prizes for winning entries and Participation certificate to all the students

Students are encouraged to visualize each of the gadgets (already covered in TFJ) as consisting of various modules. Once they do this for all ten gadgets they would have a large set of modules. The competition would be to imaginatively use these modules to solve a new problem or create new usable functionality. Participating students have to submit a chart detailing problem solved, a schematic structure of the modules with comment on which gadget they picked up this module from.

Guidelines:
  • Team of 1, 2 or 3 students from same school can participate & No Limitations for Team Registrations.
  • Students have to prepare a chart having two parts, Part A and Part B.
  • Part A: Team has to spot (identify) other gadgets (which are existing in our world, but not covered in Tod Fod Jod so far) where these modules (learnt in TFJ) are used. Team has to present two such gadgets along with modules involved in them.
  • Part B: Identify an existing problem which can be solved by various modules learnt in the TFJ. Please be more creative and imaginative in this part. Team can also present ideas on developing a new gadgets which is not existing in our world.
  • Evaluation criteria: Imagination, Presentation, Conceptual clarity of modules, Identification of gadgets and problems.
  • Team need to be ready to do presentation or explain their project entry to jury, guests, other students and visitors.

The quiz will have questions pertaining to gadgets, modules learnt in TFJ, Science, Technology, GK, Current Affairs, Creativity and Innovation. Prelims will be conducted and then top teams will make to Final round.

  • Team of 2 students from the same school participate
  • Maximum 3 teams from the same school can participate.
  • Registration Closed
